I am very blessed to be the guide of my fine 5th grade class. In the Waldorf system we teachers are taught that we are nothing but guides to these souls who have come to us. They have a future that must leave us behind. We are here to help them bring forth their innate gifts. This is much different than the current model of education that sees children as simply blank slates that need to be filled with ideas that make them fit into our system of reality that we call society.
